I wrote this November 12 2001 after visiting New York City and stood before what once was the World Trade Center building. Now this is for the gracious people of Japan:
I pray for peace of mind,
for mankind,
forever.
These are tough days.
I pray for strength,
guidance,
vision.
I pray for protection
from harm for my
loved ones.
To keep them safe
from the grip of evil.
I pray for understanding,
Patience and virtue.
Please help us
get through the
darkest days,
to find the
lightswitch with
blindfolds on.
To stand up
straight in
the face of fear.
Make me
a bright light
to shine
on everyone
I meet.
As I smile
I give thanks
to every moment
I have lived
on this earth.
