Test Time Again

Next week, I will be getting a CAT and Bone scan. This time to hopefully re-stage the cancer to a better grade. My new oncologist wonders if the first "dirty" PET scan was a false alarm. I sure hope so.

Old Friends

These past six months have been especially strange, wonderful, and sometimes terribly painful. There have been so many changes in my life that I have stumbled a lot during this adjustment period. I've been so busy with my "new life" that I have been neglecting my "old life". My eyes were opened by an old friend today, stuff that wasn't easy for me to admit, but only a true friend would have the courage to tell me . I thank her and all of my good friends for staying with me and loving me anyway. I love them dearly.

Leap of Faith

This weekend my daughter came to visit and we hiked four miles into Bell Crossing which is in the Oak Creek Canyon area near Sedona. The place was beautiful and had spectacular pools surrounded by the majestic red rocks. We jumped off the high rocks down into the chilly pools below and it was frightening and exhilarating at the same time. A perfect parallel to what it has been like for me these pasts three years. Everything since my diagnosis has been taken with a leap of faith and it has all worked out even if at times I felt I was falling off the edge.
